How It Got Started
After loosing my son, I had no choice but to re-evaluate my life. I felt as though everything that I loved and knew was unfairly snatched away from me. Only one thing was clear, I was on a mission to keep my son's memory and legacy alive. And after long conversations, tears, prayers, and courage, I founded Yoa's Place, a non-profit for bereaved mothers. Our non-profit is safe place for mamas to come together to grieve, find healing, community, and to speak of our angels gone too soon.

We are working on building a place full of tranquility to hold retreats in the upcoming years. We welcome mothers from all stages in their unique grief journey to come together and uplift and support one another. We value community, vulnerability, and authenticity.

Mission Statement
Our non-profit exists to provide a safe and sacred retreats for bereaved and grieving mothers by providing emotional and healing work such as: trauma informed yoga practices, breath work, journal/writing prompts, aroma and music therapy. We aim to educate and understand the trauma our bodies and souls have undergone so we can learn to walk with our grief.
